Admission Guidelines

Nursery To Class II

  • Step I: Express Interest: Parents need to express interest on the DPS Pune East website by filling out the form. 
  • Step II: Registration: Parents need to register their child online by filling out the registration form.
  • Step III: Meeting with Admissions Team: Parents will be invited to visit the school to understand the learning environment and philosophy. This may include an opportunity to meet the Principal.
  • Step IV: Admission Result Communication: Selected students’ parents will receive an email regarding the admission and the subsequent admission formalities that need to be completed.

Class III To Class IX

  • Step I: Express Interest: Parents need to express interest on the DPS Hinjawadi website by filling out the form. 
  • Step II: Registration: Parents need to register their child online by filling up the registration form.
  • Step III: Written Assessment:
    For admission in classes III-VI, the child will be required to take a written test for  English and Mathematics.
  • Step IV: Interaction with the Principal: After qualifying in the written assessment, the child will have an interaction with the Principal.
  • Step V: Admission Result Communication: Based on the written assessment and interaction, the parents of the selected students will receive an email regarding the admission and the subsequent admission formalities that need to be completed.

Kindly note: 

  • Registration, once completed by paying the Registration Fee, is irreversible, and the Registration Fee will be forfeited in the event of non-adherence to the schedule. 
  • In case you fail to take admission on the date specified, the vacancy will be offered to the next candidate. The decision of the school about admission will be final and binding.
  • Admission of students is strictly based on merit, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.
  • We emphasize the importance of adhering to the admission schedule and wish all applicants the best in their pursuit of education at our school.

Documents Required:

Parents are requested to submit the following documents along with the admission form at the time of admission.

  • A photocopy of the Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation.
  • Two latest passport-size photographs of the child and both parents.
  • Two latest passport-size photographs of the legal guardian (if applicable).
  • Proof of current residence (Ration Card, Voter ID Card, Utility Bill, or Rent Agreement).
  • Academic Progress Report of the previous class attended by the student (not applicable up to Class I).
  • Attested copies of legal documents, if the child is being brought up by a single parent (if applicable).
  • Caste Certificate in case of OBC/SC/ST (to be submitted by parents).
  • Original Transfer Certificate from the last school attended (only for students seeking admission to Class II and above).
  • Medical Certificate from a registered medical practitioner and an Indemnity Bond (supplied by the school) to be submitted during the admission process. (Hard copies to be submitted.)

The school shall have the sole discretion to seek any further documents (if any) as required and make necessary modifications to the admission procedure.

  • Our school buses adhere to strict safety standards and are operated by trained drivers having bus badges issued by the RTO office.
  • Each bus has a female transportation attendant for enhanced supervision during the journey.

  • Mobile phones are provided on buses for efficient communication during emergencies.
  • Staff members on buses are well-trained in first aid and emergency management.

What measures does the school have in place to ensure the safety of my child?

The school prioritizes the safety and well-being of all students and has put in place various measures to ensure a secure environment. These include 24/7 CCTV camera monitoring, the presence of trained security guards, biometric entry for visitors, and female attendants on school buses. Additionally, staff members are thoroughly trained to take care of students’ safety and security, and young children are always accompanied by a staff member. These measures contribute to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for your child.

How often do PTMs happen?

At DPS Kharadi, Student Led Conferences are conducted quarterly, allowing students to take responsibility for their learning and share their experiences with both parents and teachers. During these conferences, students actively engage in discussing their progress and achievements, fostering a collaborative and empowering learning environment.

Other than PTM, when can I get to interact with the teacher?

  • Parents are invited to orientation programs to stay informed about school developments and initiatives. 
  • Parents can meet the school head with a prior appointment.
  • Every Saturday is an open day for parents to meet teachers and discuss their child’s progress between 10 am – 12 pm.
  • Each class has a dedicated WhatsApp group for seamless communication and updates.
  • We value parent involvement and strive for a supportive and interactive school community.

How many students per class?

To ensure effective learning and individual attention, we maintain a small class size, with an average of 25-30 students per class.

What is the transportation facility?

At DPS Kharadi, we provide safe and reliable bus transportation for students. Our buses have trained drivers, and are equipped with cameras and GPS for added security. For more information, please reach out to our school office.

Do you have an infirmary?

Yes, we have a well-equipped infirmary with a qualified nurse.

What are the timings of the school?

Nursery, LKG & UKG: 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 

Grades I & II: 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Grades III, IV, V, VI & VII: 8:30 am – 3:30 p.m.
